2016 For my senior thesis I did a brand identity of a Barber shop inspired by bareknuckle boxers of the 18th & 19th century. This project was designed to capture a time period when craftsmanship, attention to detail and everything being made in American or by hand was a must! With that said, I went to a local scrap yard to find all the pieces to build the shelving unit and I refurbished old Jack Daniel bottles to use for both the light fixture and the beard conditioner packaging. I also found a barber pole, rebuilt the motor for it and repainted the stripe to match my theme. This project involved paying close attention to detail, especially when designing the print materials and packaging. Bareknuckle Barbers Co. is dedicated to a time when people weren't scared to roll up their sleeves and get a little dirty.
